I have worked as a painter and artist for almost a decade, and after putting my career on the back burner for the last few years (to discover the joys of parenting), I’ve decided to get back in the game.

This blog chronicles my efforts as I attempt to pick back up where I left off in my career. Actually, quite a great deal further behind than where I left off, because– let’s face it– you can’t exactly take four years off  mid-career and not expect to have some catching up to do. Plus, in the intervening years– the economy has done a nose-dive and 180 all rolled into one, the art world and the design industry have both changed dramatically, and I’m now living in a totally new part of the country with none of my previous connections… oh, and did I mention– just after my daughter was born, I accidentally deleted both my painting and design portfolio in an unfortunate incident involving too little sleep, a poorly timed OS upgrade and an ineptly executed back-up? Yeah, I’ve got some catching up to do.

For anyone reading this blog who finds themselves in a similar position… Oh, for crying out loud, who am I kidding? Anyone intentionally reading this blog is probably a member of my family (hi Mom)…

As for anyone who accidentally lands here while searching for something else–  I’ll do my best to keep it from being a complete waste of your time.

Go ahead, leave a comment. Say whatever's on your mind– good, bad, irrelevant– whatever... So uninspired or ambivalent about this that you have nothing to say? Tell me. Because, If that's the case, then I should probably do something about it.
