Paintings

Even as i begin to break out my paints and brushes, sharpen up my palette knives,* and get back to work in my studio (better known as my laundry room)— the ongoing effort to track down images of my earlier work continues. This is where I’ll be posting the images I’ve managed to get my hands on, until I finish building my actual portfolio site. I apologize for the less-than-ideal image quality and lack of presentation in the meantime.

* FYI:  I don’t actually do that. With the palette knives, I mean. In my head, it just seemed like it would make a cool sound– and would be a classic “getting down to business” thing to do. Kind of like how, when a cartoon character sits down to a particularly large and much-anticipated meal, they will eagerly sharpen their knife and fork against one another, in an exaggerated click-clacky, see-saw like gesture of enthusiasm.

As one last side-note, these were all painted between 2002 and 2011. I’ll post works-in-progress and completed new work on a separate page. Any comments / serious critiques will be much appreciated. I want to push myself to do better and better work, so I really don’t mind constructive criticism. Besides, I did many of these a while ago. So, in my head, I’ve already ripped them apart and repainted them a million times over.

Ok without any further introduction (aka. rambling), here are the images of my work that I’ve managed to track down / recover so far…

:) It’s so nice to get a compliment from someone as talented and accomplished as yourself. I started following your blog recently— you’ve done some fantastic articles, and I love the way you write. It’s made my day that you’ve taken the time to visit my blog and comment on my work. Thank you!

Go ahead, leave a comment. Say whatever's on your mind– good, bad, irrelevant– whatever... So uninspired or ambivalent about this that you have nothing to say? Tell me. Because, If that's the case, then I should probably do something about it.
